Hero Siege Bifröst Key: how to get it and where it takes you
A one-use key to a random pair of destinations, from Sheeponia to an Uber boss. Where to use it, what you can get and how to collect keys.
The Bifröst Key opens a portal to the Bifröst, where Heimdall offers you two random destinations to choose from. Possible picks range from Sheeponia and the Chaos Tower to Asgard and an Uber boss. Keys are consumed on use and sell well, so knowing when to use one and when to sell it is worth a few minutes.
The short version
- Use the key at the pedestal in the Astral Encampment in Act 7.
- Heimdall offers two random destinations each time. Sheeponia is the most common.
- Keys drop from monsters in Hell, and the daily Bounty Board has a 60 percent chance to give one.
- Keys sold for around 30,000 to 50,000 gold early in Season 10.
Where to use it
Take the key to the pedestal in the Astral Encampment, the Act 7 town. The official wiki places it in the top right corner. Using it opens a wormhole to the Bifröst, and the key is gone.

Heimdall offers two options each time. The chances below are from the official wiki.

The rare destinations, like the Angelic Realm and Rift of Fortune, are the exciting ones. Sheeponia is the most common, and its Sheep King drops sell steadily, as our gold farming guide notes.
How to get keys
- Monster drops in Hell and above. Keys have no restriction on where they drop.
- The Bounty Board in Inoya, which has a 60 percent chance to give a key every 24 hours. Do it daily.
- Buying them from other players on the market.
Patch 7.0.3 buffed common and crystal key drops in Season 10. The Bifröst Key cannot be crafted.
Use it or sell it?
At 30,000 to 50,000 gold a key early in the season, selling is a guaranteed return. Using one is a gamble on the destinations: worth it if you want a chance at an Uber boss or the Angelic Realm, less so if you mostly roll Sheeponia. Many players sell keys early in a season, when gold is scarce, and use them later. Our trading guide covers the market.
