Torchlight Infinite Rosa guide: every trait and which to pick

Rosa 2 is one of the best endgame builds and a slow starter. How the Realm of Mercury and Holy Domain work.

Lightbringer Rosa is a holy knight whose second trait, Unsullied Blade, sits at the top of the Torchlight Infinite endgame rankings. Like Bing 1 it is a slow starter, B tier in the first days of a season, and it pulls ahead once it has gear. Her first trait, High Court Chariot, is a blocking build around a Holy Domain.

The short version

  • Rosa 1, High Court Chariot, spends Murderous Intent to cast a Holy Domain that pulls enemies in.
  • Rosa 2, Unsullied Blade, turns attacks into Mercury Points and fights inside the Realm of Mercury.
  • Rosa 2 is S tier in the endgame and B tier as a starter.
  • Mana is central to Unsullied Blade, so it builds very differently from most attack builds.

Rosa's traits

Rosa 1: High Court Chariot

Rosa gains Murderous Intent over time and from blocking, and spends it to cast a Holy Domain that pulls nearby enemies in and adds damage inside. The trait also raises block chance. The nodes add damage per enemy in the domain, extra support slots and bonus damage when blocking inside it.

Rosa 2: Unsullied Blade

Non-channeled attacks build Mercury Points, and when the bar is full you enter the Realm of Mercury, which drains points each second. Mana is spent outside the Realm and restored inside it. The nodes add maximum mana, let mana absorb part of the damage you take, and scale the Realm's area and elemental damage with your maximum mana.

Trait mechanics are summarised from the Torchlight Infinite database. Numbers change between seasons, so check the database or the in-game hero screen for current values.

Which Rosa trait to pick

Rosa 2 is a top endgame build and a B tier starter, so treat it like Bing 1: start on an S tier starter, farm currency, then gear Rosa. If you want her from day one, expect a slower first week.

The rankings come from our Torchlight Infinite tier list, which is based on how traits finished SS13 Afterlight. Our classes guide compares Rosa with every other hero.

Tips for playing Rosa

  • Maximum mana is a damage stat for Unsullied Blade. Gear and talents that raise it pull double duty.
  • Only non-channeled attacks build Mercury Points. Pick your main skill with that in mind.
  • With High Court Chariot, block chance is offence as well as defence, since blocks feed Murderous Intent.

For how traits fit together with skills, talents and gear, see the builds guide.

Rosa for farming

A geared Rosa 2 clears and kills bosses very well. Before that point she is slower than the S tier starters. MUSA's Torchlight Infinite bot reads your equipped skills from the game, so it fights with whatever Rosa build you have set up. Automation breaks the game's rules, and our bot safety guide explains the risk.
