Torchlight Infinite bot: how auto farming works
The different kinds of Torchlight Infinite bots, what each one actually automates, the risk that comes with them, and the red flags to watch for.
A Torchlight Infinite bot plays the farming loop for you: open a map, clear it, kill the boss, pick up the loot, start the next one. That part is simple to describe. What differs between bots is how they do it, how much of the loop they cover, and how honest the seller is about the risk.
The short version
- Macros press keys for you. Bots play the whole map loop. They are different tools, but XD's rules forbid both.
- The game has no built-in auto-battle or auto-pathing. Auto loot through Pactspirits is the only automation XD provides.
- Using any bot risks a ban. A seller who says otherwise is not being honest with you.
- Before paying, check how it handles updates, whether it edits game memory, and whether the seller has a real support channel.
What a Torchlight Infinite bot does
Farming in Torchlight Infinite is one loop repeated hundreds of times a day. A bot takes over that loop. A complete one handles every step.
- Opens the Netherrealm map you chose, on the Timemark you chose.
- Moves through the map towards the boss, fighting with your skills.
- Avoids attacks, or at least survives them.
- Kills the boss, opens chests and picks up the loot.
- Takes the exit portal and starts again.
- Recovers when something goes wrong, such as a death or a stuck character.
Many cheaper tools only do part of that. A skill macro that fires your rotation still needs you to walk, loot and restart. The difference shows up after a few hours: a partial tool needs a person watching, a complete one does not.
The kinds of automation
Key macros and AutoHotkey scripts
These press keys for you, usually a skill rotation on one button. They are cheap or free and easy to set up, but they do not play the game. XD names key macros directly in its rules, and AutoHotkey running in the background is one of the most common things banned players report. Our cheats, trainers and bots guide has the details.
Screen and input bots
These run as a separate program next to the game. They work out what is happening on screen or in the game, decide what to do, and send inputs back, like a player would. This is the kind of bot that can run the whole loop.
Memory editors and trainers
These change values inside the game. In Torchlight Infinite that achieves very little, because currency and items are checked on the server, and it is the most likely way to get flagged. Free trainers are also a common source of malware.
How MUSA works
MUSA's Torchlight Infinite bot is the second kind. It runs as its own program, does not change game memory, and plays through a virtual controller, so the game can be minimized while you use your PC for something else. There is no setup inside the game: it reads your equipped skills and bindings and works out which skill is for damage and which is for movement.
- It fires damage skills as they come off cooldown, even on the move, and saves channelled skills for the right moments.
- It sees attacks coming and steps out of them, uses your movement skill when a hit is about to land, and backs off after a burst of damage.
- It picks up Flame Elementium, Flame Sand, embers, beacons, memories and good gear, even mid fight, and opens every chest it passes.
- It runs the region boss when you have enough Starshards, revives in town after a death, and can clear the whole map before the boss if you switch Clear mode on.

The ban risk
Every bot for Torchlight Infinite breaks XD's rules, and XD bans accounts it catches, from a few days up to permanently. How a bot is built changes how likely that is. It does not make the risk go away. Keep these habits whatever you use.
- Do not bot on an account you cannot afford to lose.
- Keep sessions to lengths a person could believably play.
- Do not run macros or AutoHotkey next to it.
What to check before you buy a bot
