Should you buy Hero Siege gold?
Gold sellers are easy to find and against the rules. What the EULA says, what buyers risk and how to earn the same gold yourself.
Plenty of sites sell Hero Siege gold, items and boosts for real money, and all of them break the game's rules. Panic Art's EULA bans buying as well as selling, and a developer has said buyers usually get a temporary ban for a first offence and a permanent one after that. If you want the gold more than the risk, farming it is slower but safe.
The short version
- The Hero Siege EULA bans buying or selling items, resources or services for real money "under any form or circumstances".
- A developer reply on the Steam forums says buyers usually get a temporary ban on a first offence, repeat offences are permanent and sellers are banned permanently.
- Third-party gold sites are not affiliated with Panic Art, and there is no protection if a seller does not deliver.
- Pristine gems, keys, ore and the daily Bounty Board earn steady gold without the risk.
What the rules say
The Hero Siege EULA lists real money trading as a bannable offence: you cannot sell or buy resources, items or services in the game for real-world currency in any form. The rule covers buyers, so "I only bought it" is not a defence.
On enforcement, a Steam discussion quotes a developer saying buyers usually get a temporary ban for a first offence, repeat buyers are banned permanently and sellers are banned permanently straight away. That is a forum quote rather than an official policy page, so treat the exact penalties as a guide.
How gold selling works
Gold and items for sale on third-party sites come from farmers and resellers. Delivery happens through an in-game trade or the market, which means the transfer is recorded on Panic Art's side, between your account and the seller's. Sellers who get caught are banned, and the gold they handed out can be traced back to buyers.
What can go wrong
- A temporary or permanent ban on the account that received the gold.
- A seller who takes the money and never delivers. Since the deal breaks the game's rules, nobody will help you get it back.
- Boosting services that need your login, which hands your account to a stranger.
- Hardcore characters and season progress lost with the account.
Earning the gold yourself
- Do the Bounty Board every day. It has a 60 percent chance to give a Bifröst Key, worth 30,000 to 50,000 gold early in Season 10.
- Sell pristine gems, keys and upgraded gems instead of vendoring them.
- Mine and process ore. Our ore mining guide covers which ores sell.
- Farm Odyssey and Blood Pact, where patch 7.0.3 doubled gold drops.
- Set your Ether Tree for gold. The Ether Tree guide has a gold setup.
The gold farming guide goes through all of it in detail.
Where a bot fits
A farming bot is the other way to turn time into gold: the gold comes from normal drops on your own account, with no trades with strangers. MUSA's Hero Siege bot fights with the skills you assign, mines ore, picks up what passes your loot filter, stashes a full bag and resets the map. Panic Art bans for automation online, so read our guide to cheats, trainers and bots before you decide.
