Hero Siege Ether Tree guide: points and farm setups

The Ether Tree decides what you farm, not how you fight. How points work, what each branch does and the setups for XP, gold, ore and magic find.

The Ether Tree is Hero Siege's endgame farming tree. Each point pushes one mechanic: more Chaos Pillars, better Chaos Tower chests, Ore Goblins while mining and so on. It does not make your character hit harder. It decides what your maps are full of, which is why most players keep different Ether layouts for experience, gold, ore and magic find.

The short version

  • You get 6 base Ether points at level 100, and more from Ether quests on Hell and above.
  • Nodes only work if they connect back to the central Universal core.
  • Putting every point in a mechanic's spawn rate nodes reaches 100 percent, so it appears in every zone.
  • A respec costs 1,250 gold per node, and you can save up to 8 loadouts.

Earning Ether points

Patch 7.0.3 gave every character 6 base points at level 100. The rest come from Ether quests on Hell and above, which complete during normal play: difficulty clears, Wormhole levels, key dungeons, boss kills and slayer kills. The Quest Log in the pause menu lists them. Our difficulty guide covers reaching Hell.

The branches

The Universal core holds small magic find, codex and experience nodes. Around it sit branches for Chaos Tower, Chaos Pillars, Mining, Ruby Gardens, the map events (Unstable Rift, Unholy Siege, Shadow Realm, Eternal Battlefield, Cursed Spirit), Prime Evil, Dungeons and the Overworld. Big trade-off nodes like Back to Basics, Soul Sacrifice and Dragon's Slumber change how a mechanic plays and take something away in return.

Farm setups

GoalKey nodes
ExperienceOverworld Colossal Chest nodes such as Ready to Pop and Abominable Clairvoyance
GoldMining's Pristine Extraction, the boss branches, and Unstable Alchemy in Dungeons
OreMining with Goblin Patrol for Ore Goblin ambushes, plus Asgard nodes like Worthy and Gifts from Valhalla
Magic findBack to Basics in the Overworld, Fortune of Shadows or Amplified Magic Find
CharmsRuby Gardens towards Wrath of Endrixia and Chaotic Endrixia

Back to Basics gives a lot of magic find but disables all mechanics, so it cannot share a tree with spawn nodes. Setups are from Metaroad's Ether Tree guide, and the related guides go deeper: leveling, gold, ore mining, magic find and charms.

Respec and loadouts

Resetting costs 1,250 gold per node in Season 10, down from 1,750, so moving 20 points costs 25,000 gold. Plan the new path in an Ether planner before you reset. You can keep up to 8 loadouts, bought in the shop, and swap between them. Patch 7.0.7 fixed a bug where removing one point could disconnect the whole path behind it.

Ether and botting

An Ether setup that spawns your target mechanic in every zone pairs well with a bot that clears and resets maps. MUSA has dedicated modes for the Misty Swamp Colossal Chest and for Unholy Sieges. MUSA's Hero Siege bot fights with the skills you assign, mines ore, picks up what passes your loot filter, stashes a full bag and resets the map. Panic Art bans for automation online, so read our guide to cheats, trainers and bots before you decide.
