Hero Siege leveling guide: fastest XP in Season 10

Rush the campaign, then farm the Misty Swamp Colossal Chest. How the XP loop works and which Ether nodes and builds make it fast.

The fastest way to level in Hero Siege Season 10 is to rush the campaign, then farm the Colossal Chest in Misty Swamp with the right Ether nodes. The chest spawns a pack worth a lot of experience, and with Ready to Pop half of those monsters spawn bloated. Reset, repeat and the levels come quickly.

The short version

  • Push through the nine acts on Normal. Clear side zones for XP and waypoints, but do not linger.
  • Pick a leveling S tier build such as Lightning Fury, Gunner Drones, Bone Shred or Shield Wall.
  • Later, farm the Misty Swamp Colossal Chest with the Ready to Pop Ether node.
  • Patch 7.0.3 raised experience on every difficulty, and higher difficulties add 10 to 20 percent more.

The campaign

You play Normal once, through all nine acts, ending with Cthulhu in Act 9. Pick a build that clears on little gear, keep moving and take a movement skill early. The Season 10 tier list ranks leveling builds, and Lightning Fury and Shield Wall stay strong into the endgame. The Soulforged Ring's experience bonus helps too, as the Soulforged Ring guide explains.

The Misty Swamp Colossal Chest farm

  1. Enter Misty Swamp and check whether the Colossal Chest spawned near the waypoint.
  2. If it is badly placed, reset the map.
  3. Otherwise open it, kill the pack that spawns, collect the experience, reset and repeat.

Several zones have guaranteed Colossal Chests, but Misty Swamp's chest is usually close to the waypoint and its monsters drop more Bloating Orbs. A movement skill like Teleport or Dash makes every loop faster.

Ether nodes for experience

  • Ready to Pop: monsters from Colossal Chests have a 50 percent chance to spawn with Bloating.
  • Abominable Clairvoyance: helps you find the chest faster. Optional.
  • Swarm can duplicate monsters for bigger packs.
  • Skip Corrupted Divinity. Tankier monsters slow the loop down.

You need to be well into Hell, close to Inferno, to have the Ether points for this, as Metaroad's XP guide notes. The author also warns it may be stronger than intended and could be changed in a patch. Our Ether Tree guide covers the points.

Experience by difficulty

Experience goes up with difficulty: 10 percent bonus on Nightmare, 15 on Hell and 20 on Inferno, and patch 7.0.3 raised the base on every difficulty. Move up as soon as your build kills packs comfortably. The difficulty guide explains how each one unlocks.

Leveling with a bot

The Colossal Chest loop is the same few actions repeated, and MUSA has a dedicated Misty Swamp Colossal Chest XP mode for it. MUSA's Hero Siege bot fights with the skills you assign, mines ore, picks up what passes your loot filter, stashes a full bag and resets the map. Panic Art bans for automation online, so read our guide to cheats, trainers and bots before you decide.
