Which heroes and traits clear maps fastest this season, which ones start cheap, which need gear first, and which suit a bot doing the driving.
In Torchlight Infinite you do not pick a class so much as a hero and one of their traits. The trait decides the whole playstyle, so "Selena" on its own tells you very little. Selena 2 is one of the best farmers of SS13 Afterlight. Other traits of the same hero can be mediocre.
The short version
- Selena 2 and Erika 1 come out on top for farming in almost every SS13 tier list. Both start cheap and clear fast.
- Iris 2, Gemma's fire and frost trait and Carino 2 are reliable farmers that reward some investment.
- Rosa 2, Bing 1 and Rehan 2 get very strong, but most lists treat them as builds to grow into rather than starters.

Heroes and traits in one minute
Every hero has several traits, and players usually refer to them by number: Erika 1, Erika 2 and so on. A trait is a subclass with its own mechanic. Erika 1, Wind Stalker, gets faster and hits harder the further she moves. Youga 2, Spacetime Elapse, boosts damage over time inside zones of distorted time. Rehan's Rage trait stacks attack speed as he takes and deals hits.

SS13 Afterlight launched on 16 July 2026, and the tier lists published since then do not line up perfectly. They weigh things differently and were written at different points in the season. The table below only shows where they overlap. It is based on lists from PixelNitro, MMOexp and Sportskeeda.

If you are starting the season
Pick Selena 2 or Erika 1. Both work on the loot that drops on the floor, so you do not need to buy anything to get going, and both clear fast enough to fund your next upgrades. Youga 2 is the third safe opener if you would rather kill bosses than race through maps.
Erika 1 is the faster currency farmer early. Selena 2 is the one more lists expect to scale into the endgame, and its area damage suits the Funeral Procession escort that Afterlight added, where slow clears cut your rewards.
If you already have currency
Rosa 2, Bing 1 and Rehan 2 are the heroes people move to once they have Flame Elementium to spend. They are among the strongest builds in the game with gear, but they are frustrating without it. What suits a bot
If you plan to run your character through MUSA, a few things matter more than they would for manual play. MUSA reads your equipped skills and key bindings from the game and works out which ones deal damage and which ones move you. Damage skills fire as soon as they come off cooldown, even on the move, and channelled skills are saved for the right moments.
- Area damage beats single target. The bot clears packs on the way to the boss, so builds that hit everything on screen, like Selena 2 or Carino 2, lose nothing when automated.
- Built-in survival helps. MUSA dodges attacks it sees coming and backs off after a burst of damage, but a build with its own regeneration or a minion wall, like Iris 2, forgives more mistakes.
- A movement skill is worth having. MUSA uses it to get out of the way when a big hit is about to land.
- Builds that depend on precise timing or manual positioning lose the most. They are fine to play yourself and weaker on a bot.
