Torchlight Infinite Rehan guide: every trait and which to pick
The berserker of the roster. How Rage and Berserk work, what Rehan 2's spirit copy adds and when Rehan is worth playing.
Berserker Rehan is the melee bruiser of Torchlight Infinite. He builds Rage by attacking, goes Berserk when it is full and hits much harder while it lasts. His second trait, Seething Silhouette, adds a spirit copy that fights next to him and is the trait you see on tier lists. It starts slowly and gets strong once geared.
The short version
- Both traits build Rage with melee attacks and enter Berserk automatically at max Rage.
- Rehan 1, Anger, adds Bursts on hit during Berserk.
- Rehan 2, Seething Silhouette, summons a Seething Spirit that casts your main skill alongside you.
- Rehan 2 is B tier as a starter and A tier in the endgame. He needs gear before he comes online.
Rehan's traits
Rehan 1: Anger
Melee attacks build Rage, each point adding damage and movement speed, and Berserk triggers at max Rage. While Berserk your attacks set off Bursts. The nodes let Berserk generate Rage instead of draining it, tie critical strikes to Rage and, at level 60, cut non-Burst damage hard in exchange for much stronger Bursts.
Rehan 2: Seething Silhouette
Outside Berserk, melee attacks build Rage and every 5 Rage adds attack speed. At max Rage you go Berserk with more movement speed, a much larger skill area and extra damage, and a Seething Spirit casts your main skill with you. The nodes choose between a spirit that attacks all through Berserk while you are disarmed, Rage from damage taken, and damage that scales with recent Rage.
Trait mechanics are summarised from the Torchlight Infinite database. Numbers change between seasons, so check the database or the in-game hero screen for current values.
Which Rehan trait to pick
Pick Rehan 2 if you want to play Rehan. It is the trait the tier lists rank, and it scales well in the endgame. It is a B tier starter, so if you want the smoothest first week, start on Selena 2 or Erika 1 and roll Rehan once you can afford his gear. The leveling guide lists Rehan 2 as a decent campaign pick all the same.
The rankings come from our Torchlight Infinite tier list, which is based on how traits finished SS13 Afterlight. Our classes guide compares Rehan with every other hero.
Tips for playing Rehan
- Attack speed and skill area matter more than usual, because both feed Rage and Berserk.
- Life and life regeneration keep a melee build alive. Rehan stands in the middle of every pack.
- The game recommends the God of Might talent tree for Rehan's first panel. It is a sensible default.
For how traits fit together with skills, talents and gear, see the builds guide.
Rehan for farming
Rehan farms well once geared, but melee range means more walking into packs than a caster. For automated farming, ranged and area builds are more forgiving. MUSA's Torchlight Infinite bot reads your equipped skills from the game, so it fights with whatever Rehan build you have set up. Automation breaks the game's rules, and our bot safety guide explains the risk.
