Hero Siege builds: how a Season 10 build fits together
A build is more than a skill. How skills, gear, relics, charms, your mercenary and the Ether Tree combine, and where to find builds worth copying.
A Hero Siege build starts with one main skill and grows around it: gear that boosts it, relics and charms that add to it, a mercenary that supports it and Ether Tree points that decide what you farm with it. Season 10 added enough new systems that a build from last season rarely works unchanged. This guide explains the parts and where to find builds worth copying.
The short version
- Pick the main skill first. The Season 10 tier list ranks skills for leveling and endgame.
- Gear does most of the work in the endgame. Satanic, Heroic, Angelic and Unholy items are the ones builds are planned around.
- Relics and charms add power on top of gear, and the Ether Tree decides how you farm rather than how you fight.
- Use a build planner and a guide written for Season 10. Older builds miss the new difficulty ladder and Ether changes.
The parts of a build
| Part | What it adds | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Main skill | Your damage and clear speed | Tier list |
| Gear and runewords | Most of your damage, life and resistances in the endgame | Loot filter and magic find |
| Relics | Stats, procs, orbiting and follower effects | Relics guide |
| Charms | Extra stats in dedicated slots | Charms guide |
| Mercenary | A buff for your build, or magic find | Mercenary guide |
| Ether Tree | Which farming mechanics appear and how they pay | Ether Tree guide |
Main skill
Everything starts here. A good farming skill hits the whole pack, ideally the whole screen, and pairs with a movement skill so you never walk far. Single target damage matters for bosses, but most of your time is spent clearing. Season 10's leaders include Lightning Fury and Shield Wall, which rank S tier for both leveling and endgame.
Gear
Item rarity climbs through Satanic and Heroic to Angelic and Unholy, the two highest. Season 10 added 24 Heroic SS tier items from the three new Uber bosses, all requiring level 100, and many endgame builds are now planned around one or two of them. Our Uber bosses guide lists which boss drops what. Until you have endgame gear, prioritise life, resistances and your main skill's damage type.
Relics, charms and mercenary
You start with four relic slots and can unlock a fifth through the WANTED quest chain, as our 5th relic slot guide explains. Caster builds often run the elemental Globe relic that matches their main skill. Charms fill their own slots, and the strongest come from Uber bosses and Endrixia. Your mercenary either buffs the build (Archer for attack speed, Magister for spell damage) or carries magic find gear (Knight).
Ether Tree
The Ether Tree does not change how your character fights. It decides which mechanics show up in your maps and how much they pay: Chaos Pillars, Chaos Tower chests, mining, Colossal Chests and more. Most players run a separate Ether layout for experience, gold or magic find farming. The Ether Tree guide covers the setups.
Where to find and plan builds
- Metaroad has a Hero Siege build planner, a database and Season 10 build guides for Necromancer, Jötunn, Illusionist, Shield Lancer, Demon Slayer and Amazon.
- Check the season on any build guide. Season 10 changed the difficulty ladder and the Ether Tree, so a Season 9 build may need work.
- Prefer guides that list the gear the build starts on, not only the finished version.
Builds for farming and botting
Our farming builds guide covers what makes a build fast at clearing maps and which classes farmers pick. MUSA's Hero Siege bot fights with the skills you assign, mines ore, picks up what passes your loot filter, stashes a full bag and resets the map. Panic Art bans for automation online, so read our guide to cheats, trainers and bots before you decide.
