Hero SiegeGuide
Is Hero Siege worth it in 2026?
Cheap, fast and seasonal, with a few rough edges. Who Hero Siege suits, what it costs and what to play instead if it is not for you.
For fans of fast loot games, yes. Hero Siege is inexpensive, gets a new season every few months, and Season 10 made four former DLC classes and Act 8 free. Its weak points are bugs at season launch, a grind that rewards hours above all and pixel art that is not for everyone. Here is the case for and against.
The short version
- It is a cheap base game on Steam and PS5, with 18 classes included and 6 sold as DLC.
- Seasons usually run four to five months and add a new act or system each time.
- Launch weeks tend to be bumpy, and Season 10 needed over ten patches in its first month.
- It suits players who like farming and trading. People with little time fall behind quickly.
What it does well
- Fast, screen-clearing combat and a lot of loot.
- Plenty of classes. At least 24, as our classes guide lists.
- Frequent seasons with real changes. Season 10 added Act 9, a new difficulty ladder, Abyssal Chests and three Uber bosses, as the Season 10 guide covers.
- A player economy that makes farming feel worthwhile. See the trading guide.
- Co-op with friends, and a version on PS5 since April 2026. See the platforms guide.
What players complain about
- Bugs at season launch. Season 10's first month brought patches 7.0.2 to 7.0.13, many fixing broken nodes and items.
- The grind. The best loot needs a lot of hours, and casual players fall behind.
- DLC classes. Six classes still cost extra.
- Pixel art and a busy screen, which some people find hard to read.

Games like Hero Siege
If you like the seasonal loot loop but want something different, players most often compare Hero Siege with Diablo II, Path of Exile and Torchlight Infinite. Torchlight Infinite is free, plays on PC and mobile, and runs seasons of about three months. Our Torchlight Infinite review covers it.
