Hero SiegeGuide
Hero Siege beginner guide for Season 10
Everything a new player needs in order: class, leveling, difficulties, gear, gold and the mistakes that cost the most time.
Hero Siege is a fast pixel art ARPG with seasons that usually run four to five months. You level through nine acts, then push through Nightmare, Hell and Inferno for better loot. New players lose the most time on three things: a build that cannot clear, moving up difficulty too early and selling to vendors items other players would pay far more for. This guide takes you through the game in the order you meet it.
The short version
- Pick a build from the tier list, not a class you like the look of. Lightning Fury and Shield Wall are the safest in Season 10.
- Rush the campaign, then move up the difficulties as soon as packs die before they reach you.
- Do the Bounty Board every day and sell gems and keys to players.
- Use the loot filter from day one, and tighten it as you gear up.
Seasons
Each season starts a fresh economy with new characters. Season 10, Ebontharn, started on 21 August 2026 and added Act 9, a new difficulty ladder and four free classes. The Season 10 guide covers what is new.
Picking a class and build
Hero Siege has at least 24 classes, and 18 are free. Tier lists rank skills more than classes, so pick a build first: the Season 10 tier list puts Lightning Fury and Shield Wall at the top of both leveling and endgame. Our classes guide lists every class, and the builds guide explains how a build fits together.
Leveling
Play Normal once through all nine acts, ending with Cthulhu. Keep moving, take a movement skill early and do not clear every corner. Later, the Misty Swamp Colossal Chest is the best experience farm. The leveling guide has the details.
Difficulties
After Normal comes Nightmare, then Hell, then Inferno, each unlocked by killing the act bosses on the one before. Move up once packs die before they reach you. The difficulty guide explains what to farm at each stage.
Gear, relics and the Ether Tree
- Gear: life, resistances and your main skill's damage first. Use the loot filter so you only see what matters.
- Relics: four slots, leveled by duplicates. See the relics guide.
- Mercenary: pick one that suits your build. See the mercenary guide.
- Ether Tree: from level 100, it decides what your maps are full of. See the Ether Tree guide.
Making gold
Vendor everything early, then switch to selling gems, keys and ore to players. Do the Bounty Board daily for a 60 percent chance at a Bifröst Key. The gold farming guide, ore mining guide and trading guide cover the rest.
Mistakes to avoid
- Following a build guide from an older season. Season 10 changed the difficulties and the Ether Tree.
- Moving to Hell before Nightmare is easy.
- Vendoring pristine gems and keys that sell for thousands to players.
- Buying gold for real money. Panic Art bans buyers, as our buying gold page explains.
- Using trainers or Cheat Engine online. See the cheats and bots guide.
When you do not have the time
The gap between new and experienced players is mostly hours played. MUSA's Hero Siege bot fights with the skills you assign, mines ore, picks up what passes your loot filter, stashes a full bag and resets the map. Panic Art bans for automation online, so read our guide to cheats, trainers and bots before you decide.
